EFA-PAK Packaging Technology
EFA-PAK is a flexible packet unit-dose packaging
format that offers larger, pre-measured dosages with
superior stability and economy when compared to
gelatin caplets.
Our EFA-PAK packaging is a combination of a special
high-barrier packaging material and advanced
packaging methods that keep out oxygen, heat and
ultraviolet light from the manufacturing process.
Protection from Oxygen and Moisture
Polyunsaturated from flaxseed and long-chain omega-3
fish oil are highly sensitive to hydrolytic and
oxidative rancidity. Within minutes of exposure to
light and water these EFA’s start becoming rancid.
Our EFA-PAK high-barrier packaging material provides
approximately 750 times the protection from oxygen
and moisture vs. a gelatin caplet. See tables
